Humayun Kabir is working with Integrated Care as a research trainee. He is doing an MSc in Health Research Methodology under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Costa at the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact, McMaster University. He completed a Master of Public Health from North South University, Bangladesh, and a Bachelor in Nursing from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh.

With his comprehensive training in health research methodology and statistical modelling, he has the ability to contribute to executing quantitative research that is scientifically rigorous, methodologically sound, and has the potential to make a meaningful impact on health policy and practice. He worked in the COVID-19 ICU as a registered nurse in Bangladesh for more than a year. He has published widely on the impact of COVID-19 on nurses and students, but he has a specific interest in exploring the challenges facing the Canadian elderly while making decisions toward the transition to senior housing. His MSc thesis involves utilizing the Canadian Longitudinal Study in Aging (CLSA) data, which includes over fifty thousand Canadians. His interests also include epidemiological research, statistical modelling, managing big data, and analyzing data using software such as R, STATA, and SPSS.
